Haidy -Subin- Choi - 최수빈
My main reason for making is to convey something that cannot be fulfilled in catharsis by expressing solely with words. Remixing psychopathology, American dark humor, and self-analysis, I reference specific forms to translate. Made with function, I find that these references relate back to the human experience as unapologetically goofy objects.
Haidy was born in South Korea and now studies in Providence, RI.
She is currently studying Furniture Design at the Rhode Island School of Design as a designer, artist, and maker. Her studio practice focuses on using wood, metals, and casting; while exploring multiple mediums to achieve a unique and specific design.
